Multiple Trunk Providers
Switchvox can accommodate multiple trunk providers. There are many reasons to take advantage of this functionality.
- You have a multinational client base and it would be less expensive to use a local SIP trunk provider in the country(ies) you call and receive calls from. Of course, you also can have a local phone number there as well.
- Multiple providers can also provider for redundancy in the event one provider has an outage.
- Take advantage of different inbound and outbound rates. Each SIP trunk provider has a different method of pricing their services. One provider could offer unlimited inbound call volume, yet their outbound charges would be very pricey. Therefore you can use a different provider that provides less expensive outbound call termination. With Switchvox or Asterisk your system can be configured to route all outbound calls to a specific provider.
